A Short Story
Sixteen-year-old Abigail Rose has a recurring dream. For as long as she can remember, she has dreamt of a beautiful cottage in the country. When she spots the house in the property pages of a magazine, she is stunned to find that it is a real place.
With her mother and father barely speaking to each other and her teenage brother and sister sullen and uncommunicative, Abigail becomes convinced the family are destined to live in the house. They need a fresh start.
However, it seems that the people who own the house left in a hurry amid stories of unexplained noises and strange sightings.
What is the secret that is pulling Abigail to the cottage? Is the house haunted or has Abigail a secret of her own?

Abigail Dream House eBook Caroline Jordan Reviews
Not much surprising about Abigail's Dream House. It was a pleasant enough short story, but with little surprise. If you've seen the film The Sixth Sense, then you know where this story is headed.
I normally do not like short stories, but I am quite glad that I took the time to try this one. It is a complete surprise and very well written.
I thoroughly enjoyed this short story. Unique story line. Picked it up on a rainy day, & couldn't put it down. Would have loved it to be longer.
